Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather

Have you heard the phrase “birds of a feather flock together”? Well we know that to be true literally speaking; you never see a pigeon flying around with eagles. The chances of that happening is slim to none, but have you ever verify thought about that figuratively? In other words, the saying means you are who you associate yourself with.

When I was younger my mother was very particular with whom I was friends with. She told me that sometimes you have to hang out with different people because of who they are viewed as, it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you. This is a very touchy subject, because it kind of says that a person doesn’t necessarily act under their own free will, and they think as the rest of the group does. For some people this may be true, but in my experience it is not.

This past weekend I attended an international convention for my networking marketing business, and we had about 25,000 people in attendance from all over the world.  The best thing about it was that we are all working towards a common goal. Everyone in attendance was there for their own selfish reasons, but we all essentially want the same thing. We all want freedom in some way, shape, or form. It is so exhilarating to be surrounded by positive people working towards a common goal. In our day to day lives that it something that we don’t often have. Normal people are usually negative, and always have something to gripe or complain about.

I encourage you to get around those people that are positive, and are working towards their goals. If you would like to connect with me more,  just send me an email. I would love to connect with more like-minded individuals.
