We can all agree that social media has definitely changed the way we do things. These past ten years have been the rise of the social media craze. Kids these days are born with a phone or tablet attached to their hands and know how to use them by the age of one. I am addicted to social media. It’s ridiculous! After Snapchat came out, I was called the “Snapchat Queen” by some of my friends. I’m always taking selfies on my phone and posting them on Instagram and Facebook and was crowned the “Selfie Queen” also. Since we can be so tuned into to other people’s lives every second of every day, it’s easy to get wrapped up in a false sense of reality. Some people post pictures and statuses for attention. Don’t get me wrong, I love my share of likes on Facebook and Instagram, and I’m watching my views on Snapchat too, but that doesn’t define me. If I don’t get any likes on a picture my day isn’t ruined, and it doesn’t make me any less beYOUtiful.
Our generation has to stop looking for approval and validation from everyone else in the world and start to look within ourselves. Self-love is the best love that you can have. Once you know that you know that you know, that you are the best thing since sliced bread and anyone would be blessed to have you, you don’t need anyone else’s validation. If someone rejects you, or doesn’t see your worth, then that is their loss. I know that I’m worth my weight in gold. The main reason why I’m so confident in myself is that I know that I was sent here for a purpose; we all were. When you love yourself, things start to work in your favor automatically. I’m a firm believer in the law of attraction, and you attract what you think about whether it’s bad or good. (That’s a topic for another day). If you put out love, you’ll get love in return. When you love yourself, it seems as if the universe loves you too, and your days are that much better.
The easiest way to start to love yourself if you have issues in that area is to stop comparing yourself to others, and be the best you that you can be. Appreciate everything about yourself. Your height, weight, accent, skin tone, personality are all things that are unique to you, and that’s special. There is no one else on this earth that is like you. Whatever you don’t like about yourself, find a way to see the positive in it. It’s all about your mindset and how you look at things. Only YOU can make that change. There’s only one person like you. Be proud of that and embrace it. Always remember that you are BeYOUTiful and to live life abundantly. Love yourself.
I love this ❤️
